daphne

Notes

Daphne (Daphne transatlantica) is an evergreen shrub for borders, fragrant gardens, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It forms a neat mound with dark green leaves. The white flowers smell like sweet baby powder and open in spring, then again from summer into autumn. Do not move it after planting.

Pairs well with Korean spice viburnum, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Ostrich fern.
