Notes

Desert marigold (Baileya multiradiata) is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Bright yellow flowers rise above mounds of woolly, gray foliage and attract bees and butterflies. Crown rot can set in if the soil stays too wet, so avoid soggy spots.

Pairs well with Soaptree yucca, Chuparosa, and Fourwing saltbush.
