Notes

Soaptree yucca (Yucca elata) is a succulent for borders, specimens, and xeriscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. It looks like coarse bunchgrass when young, then grows a trunk-like stem as it ages. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Creamy-white, bell-shaped flowers open on tall stalks, and the plant grows slowly.

Pairs well with American century plant, Baby Rita cactus apple, and Narrow-leaf chalksticks.
