Notes

Dew flower (Penstemon cobaea) is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Large tubular flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they range from white to pink and violet. Hummingbirds, bees, butterflies, and moths visit them. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with New England aster, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Texas bluebonnet.
