Notes
'Apple Blossom' beardtongue (Penstemon 'Apple Blossom') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms, and it tolerates drought and salt. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and wide.
Pairs well with Tawny King red-hot poker, Obsidian coral bells, and Agapanthus.
