Notes
'Dirigent' rose (Rosa 'Dirigent') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Medium red blooms are fragrant and appear in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Mathias Tantau, Jr bred it in 1959.
Pairs well with Sweet William, Ornamental onion, and Blue grama.
