Notes

'Duke' blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum 'Duke') is a shrub for food gardens, borders, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flowers open in late spring, and light blue berries ripen in early summer. The berries are grown for fresh eating, jams, jellies, and baking, and birds will share them.

Pairs well with Virginia sweetspire, Amsonia, and Indian grass.
