Notes

'Early Star' tulip (Tulipa 'Early Star') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The red blooms have a broad lemon yellow edge and open from early to late spring. Each flower has a tomato red blotch inside, and plants stand about 10 inches tall.

Pairs well with Bridal Crown daffodil, Immortality iris, and Little bluestem.
