Notes

'Paul Scherer' tulip (Tulipa 'Paul Scherer') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The brown-purple blooms open from early to late spring. Plants grow 12 to 24 inches tall, so they fit well in the middle of a bed. Vertuco B.V. bred it.

Pairs well with Apollo common hyacinth, Grape hyacinth, and Minuteman hosta.
