Notes

'Edith Dudszus' purple moor grass (Molinia caerulea 'Edith Dudszus') is a grass for borders, specimens, rain gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It has an arching shape and grows slowly, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Joe Pye weed, Cardinal flower, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
