Notes

'Moorhexe' purple moor grass (Molinia caerulea 'Moorhexe') is a grass for borders, specimen planting, rain gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It has an arching habit and grows slowly. Birds visit it, and it blooms in summer and again in autumn.

Pairs well with Joe Pye weed, Hardy hibiscus, and Spotted beebalm.
