Notes
'Transparent' purple moor grass (Molinia caerulea 'Transparent') is a grass for borders, specimen planting, rain gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its arching form grows slowly, and it blooms in summer and again in autumn. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Birds visit this grass.
Pairs well with Joe Pye weed, Hardy hibiscus, Spotted beebalm, and Chokeberry.
