Notes

'Elegant Salmon' clarkia (Clarkia unguiculata 'Elegant Salmon') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and containers. It grows well in cool weather and can ride out a light frost. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Sturdy stems hold salmon, red, and purple blooms in spring and again in summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Garden balsam, Red fescue, and Drumstick primrose.
