Notes

'Elusive' lily (Lilium 'Elusive') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The star-shaped yellow blooms have ruffled petals with orange-red speckles and a sweet fragrance. Flowers open from early to late summer, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit them. Plants can reach six feet or more by year two, so place them at the back of the border.

Pairs well with Black Hero tulip, Golden Tiara hosta, and Raspberry Sundae peony.
