Notes

'Emerald Queen' Norway maple (Acer platanoides 'Emerald Queen') is a tree for specimen planting and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows at a moderate rate into a rounded shape. Greenish-yellow flowers open in early to late spring and draw butterflies, bees, and birds. The leaves turn a new color in fall.

Pairs well with Swamp white oak, Spotted dead nettle, and Sensitive fern.
