Notes

'Empoli' lily (Lilium 'Empoli') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The fragrant raspberry red blooms have lemon yellow centers and open in early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit them. It grows tall, so plant it at the back of the border.

Pairs well with Shirley Temple peony, Black Hero tulip, and Rainforest Sunrise hosta.
