Notes

'Espresso' wild geranium (Geranium maculatum 'Espresso') is a perennial for borders, ground cover, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Lavender flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies visit the blooms, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Shasta daisy, Autumn fern, and Hummingbird's mint.
