Notes

'Eva' blue elderberry (Sambucus nigra 'Eva') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and reaches 6 to 8 feet tall. Pink flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies, and birds visit too.

Pairs well with Chokeberry, Blue wild indigo, Big bluestem, and Bottlebrush buckeye.
