Notes
'Excel Bermuda' onion (Allium cepa 'Excel Bermuda') is a vegetable for the food garden. It is typically grown as an annual. It is one of the more cold-hardy crops and can keep growing through light freezes with some winter protection. This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It has an arching habit and blooms from early to late summer.
Pairs well with Scotch Bonnet pepper, Asparagus, and Creeping thyme.
