Notes

False acacia (Robinia pseudoacacia) is a tree for pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Fragrant white flowers hang in clusters, and honeybees and hummingbirds favor them. It spreads fast by root sprouts and seeds, so give it room. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Common milkweed, Indian grass, and Black cherry.
