Notes

'Fastigiata' Japanese plum yew (Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Fastigiata') is a shrub for borders, accents, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy or clay soil. It is an evergreen with an arching habit, so it adds winter interest. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows slowly and needs little care.

Pairs well with Oakleaf hydrangea, Autumn fern, and Sedge.
