Notes

'Duke Gardens' Japanese plum yew (Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Duke Gardens') is a shrub for borders, accents, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy or clay soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It grows slowly into an arching, evergreen mound that is 24 to 48 inches tall and wide. It is also drought tolerant and needs little care.

Pairs well with Autumn fern, Bigleaf hydrangea, Wild geranium, and Red spider lily.
