Notes

'Fire Bird' tulip (Tulipa 'Fire Bird') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It grows about 22 inches tall, so it works well toward the middle or back of a bed. Its vermilion scarlet blooms open from early to late spring. The red flowers make a bold show in the garden and look good in a vase.

Pairs well with Mount Hood daffodil, Little bluestem, and Angel Cheeks peony.
