Notes

'First Dance' Lenten rose (Helleborus 'First Dance') is an evergreen perennial for shade gardens, borders, containers, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It blooms from early to late winter and again in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Lady fern, Western sword fern, and Wood lily.
