Notes

'Flanders Poppy' common poppy (Papaver rhoeas 'Flanders Poppy') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and low maintenance gardens. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms in spring and again in summer. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Cut a few stems for a bouquet.

Pairs well with Maiden pink, Blue Diamond tulip, and Foxtail barley.
