Notes
'Flava' botanical tulip (Tulipa orphanidea 'Flava') is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms in red from early to late spring. It stays about 12 inches tall and spreads 8 to 12 inches, so it fits small spaces well.
Pairs well with Pink Giant glory of the snow, Siberian squill, and Sedge.
