Notes

Siberian squill (Scilla siberica) is a perennial for borders, containers, and naturalized drifts. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Starry, bell-shaped blue flowers open in early spring and carry dark blue pollen. Over time it will naturalize and form a carpet of lush green foliage.

Pairs well with Old Rose Dandy peony, Nigra hollyhock, and German Red garlic.
