Notes

Florist's spiraea (Astilbe simplicifolia) is a perennial for rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part to full shade and average moisture. It grows 12 to 18 inches tall and 12 to 18 inches wide. White flowers appear in late spring and early summer. The compact size makes it easy to tuck into a shady corner of the garden.

Pairs well with Interrupted fern, Marginal wood fern, and Celandine poppy.
