Notes

Fox grape (Vitis labrusca) is a vine for low maintenance gardens, woodland edges, and xeriscape plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The greenish flowers are fragrant and attract bees. It can climb 15 to 20 feet and spread just as wide, so give it a strong support and plenty of room.

Pairs well with Cross vine, American chestnut, and Japanese forest grass.
