Notes

'Frost King' Siberian bugloss (Brunnera macrophylla 'Frost King') is a perennial for shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average moisture. Bright blue flowers float above the foliage mounds in early to late spring, and bees visit them. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. The large leaves have silvery surfaces with defined green veins and edges.

Pairs well with Snake Eyes hosta, Fernleaf peony, and Autumn crocus.
