Notes
'Sea Heart' Siberian bugloss (Brunnera macrophylla 'Sea Heart') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland settings, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its blue spring flowers fade to pink or lavender and attract bees. It forms a low clump that grows 6 to 12 inches tall. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Solomon's seal, Lungwort, Invincibelle Ruby smooth hydrangea, and Autumn crocus.
