Notes

'Golden Dragon' northern red oak (Quercus rubra 'Golden Dragon') is a tree for shade, large gardens, and parks. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. The new leaves emerge gold to chartreuse green with a pink overlay, and they hold their golden color through most of the growing season. In fall the leaves turn red, orange, and reddish brown. This vigorous tree needs open space to grow large.

Pairs well with Anglojap yew, Ostrich fern, Snowdrop, and Amur maple.
