Notes
'Golden Pincushion' sawara cypress (Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Golden Pincushion') is a small evergreen shrub for borders, rock gardens, foundations, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows at a moderate rate to 24 to 36 inches tall and wide. The open form stays low, so it fits small spaces. It is also drought tolerant once settled in.
Pairs well with Blue fescue, Prairie dropseed, and Earth Angel hosta.
