Notes
'Goldilocks' Japanese white pine (Pinus parviflora 'Goldilocks') is a shrub for specimen plantings, accents, borders, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly into a dense, evergreen form about 7 to 8 feet tall. It sits low on the menu for deer. Birds visit it too.
Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Fountain grass, and Spurge.
