Notes

Spurge (Euphorbia amygdaloides) is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, ground cover, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Spikes of lime green bracts and flowers appear in spring, and you can cut the stems back after blooming to encourage thick basal growth. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It can spread quickly in good conditions, so watch the clump.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Christmas fern, and Green Velvet buxus.
