Notes
'Goucher' glossy abelia (Abelia 'Goucher') is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms in pink and white in spring, summer, and autumn, and the fragrant flowers draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It also tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with Smoketree, Fountain grass, Sweet William, and Eden rose.
