Notes

'Edward Goucher' glossy abelia (Abelia 'Edward Goucher') is a shrub for borders, hedges, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Lavender-pink flowers bloom in late spring, summer, and autumn. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the fragrant blooms.

Pairs well with Fountain grass, Black Baccara rose, and Maltese cross.
