Notes

'Grape Expectations' coral bells (Heuchera 'Grape Expectations') is a perennial for borders, containers, shade gardens, and woodland edges. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The grape-purple leaves turn silvery as the weather warms, then return to deep purple in late fall. White flowers rise on dark purple stems and attract hummingbirds.

Pairs well with Astilbe, Japanese forest grass, Fringed bleeding heart, and Lenten rose.
