Notes

'Gravetye Giant' summer snowflake (Leucojum aestivum 'Gravetye Giant') is a bulb for borders, woodland gardens, and naturalized drifts. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy or clay soil. Pendulous white flowers with green markings hang from arching stems in spring. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. William Robinson introduced it and named it for his home.

Pairs well with Foam flower, Winter aconite, Star magnolia, and Greig's tulip.
