Notes

Foam flower (Tiarella cordifolia) is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland plantings, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. Small white to pinkish flowers with long, slender stamens give the spikes a frothy look. Mature plants spread by runners and form sizeable colonies over time. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Christmas fern, and Lungwort.
