Notes

'Grayswood Ghost' Chinese red birch (Betula utilis 'Grayswood Ghost') is a tree for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its height is about 30 to 50 feet, and it spreads about 30 to 33 feet. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Give it room to grow into a wide, tall tree.

Pairs well with Sibirica red-barked dogwood, Winter aconite, and Lenten rose.
