Notes

'Green Eyes' coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Green Eyes') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the magenta-pink flowers with green to orange cones. Deer tend to pass it by. It also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Butterfly milkweed, and Nodding onion.
