Notes

'Green Twister' coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Green Twister') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. The lime green petals turn magenta near the dark red center cone, and the flowers bloom abundantly from July through September. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit them. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Nodding onion, and Indian Summer rudbeckia.
