Notes
'Happy Halloween' dahlia (Dahlia 'Happy Halloween') is a bulb with deep orange flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil. The blooms look like mini pumpkins and appear from summer through fall. Butterflies visit the flowers. Winter wet can harm it, so plant it where the ground stays dry in winter or lift it and store it in a cool, dry place indoors.
Pairs well with Globemaster allium, Shenandoah switchgrass, and Becky Shasta daisy.
