Notes
'G.F. Hemerik' dahlia (Dahlia 'G.F. Hemerik') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows up to 24 inches tall and wide, so it fits easily in a pot or at the front of a bed. Blooms open from early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Blue Fortune Bill Williams Mountain giant hyssop, Catmint, and Montbretia.
