Notes

Catmint (Nepeta govaniana) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Butterflies and bees visit the fragrant flowers.

Pairs well with Balloon flower, Sweet William, and Greig's tulip.
