Notes

'Henkell Royal' rose (Rosa 'Henkell Royal') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The bushy plant bears fragrant, medium red blooms in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Reimer Kordes bred it in 1964.

Pairs well with Garden phlox, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Japanese holly, and Gladiolus.
