Notes

'Herbstsonne' cutleaf coneflower (Rudbeckia 'Herbstsonne') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Tall yellow flowers open from early to late summer and draw butterflies and bees. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It grows 48 to 84 inches tall and tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Big bluestem, Joe Pye weed, and Ornamental onion.
