Notes

'Hidcote Pink' beardtongue (Penstemon 'Hidcote Pink') is a perennial for borders, containers, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms, and the plant tolerates drought and salt. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Spotted beebalm, Purple top, and Anemone.
