Notes
Hooker inula (Inula hookeri) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and spreads 12 to 24 inches. Butterflies and birds visit the blooms, which open in summer and again in autumn.
Pairs well with Royal Candles spiked speedwell, Album culver’s root, and Late boneset.
